Greetings!!
My great-grandmother, was Ada Dow Williams. She was b. 9/26/1905 in DeQueen, Arkansas d. 9/26/1988 in Cortez, Colorado and buried in Dove Creek, Colorado.
I am still researching the birth/death/marriage/etc. info about her father Walter "Pops" Hammond & her mother Larrah (Ivey) Williams/ Franklin/ Lazear. As I can tell her family traveled west eventually settling in Payson, Arizona. This is where she met my great-grandather Henry Verde Haught.
Henry Verde Haught was b. 5/14/1894 in Dallas, TX. married 7/10/1923 d. 1/13/1976 in Dove Creek, Colorado.
They had 6 children, 1) Willie E.(stillborn) 2) Dorothy Violet(died during infancy) 3) Pearl Joy (Haught Mower 4)Jack Verde Haught 5) Opal Jewel (Haught)Bussard~Barney 6) Ruby Mae(Haught) Warren.
Henry's father was John Henry Haught b. 12/8/1861 Dallas Co. TX. d. 4/1/1933 buried near Winslow, AZ. His mother was Mary Ann Jane Harris/Smith? (maiden name unsure about) b. ca. 1893 d. ca. 1940 near Winslow, AZ.
John Haught's father was Pete/Peter? Haught b. ca. 1837 PA/OH (not exactly sure) d. unknown? buried in Payson, AZ.? & his mother was Susan/Suzanne Jane Pruitt/ Carver? (maiden name unsure about) Haught was b. ca. 1837 in Illinois d. ca. 1888 buried in Payson, AZ.
Their exact info (birth, death, marriage, etc., details still unknown)They settled in the Mogollon Rim Country near Payson, Arizona ca. 1900 having traveled there from the Dallas Co. TX. or Oklahoma areas??
