I am looking for information regarding an unknown Erwin father (born in Mississippi) and his wife Elizabeth (b. abt 1831 in North Carolina.) Elizabeth was widowed between 1858-1860, and had four children with her husband. The children were:
John N. Erwin b. abt 1852 in Mississippi
Jasper Phillip Erwin b. Dec. 1853 in Mississippi
Sarah D. Erwin b. abt 1856 in Mississippi
James H. Erwin b. April 1858 in Arkansas
The family is found on the 1860 census of Carroll County, Arkansas, but had moved to Arkansas from Mississippi after 1850. I can't find the family on any 1870 census. Then the family (or at least part of it) moved back to Mississippi before the 1880 census where I found Jasper Phillip Erwin (Listed as "Irvin") and his wife and 1st daughter living in Coahoma County, Mississippi. James H. Erwin is listed as living in their household as well.
Sometime in the 1880's the family moved to Milam County, Texas. By the 1900 census, the James H. and Jasper Phillip had moved to Milam County, Texas.
I would like to know information on James' and Jasper's siblings and parents. Please help!!!!
