Yes, Myrtle was his first wife. My sister-in-law finally found the old family papers, and just today, I found out that Myrtle's name was Myrtle Mae Phillips. She and Lonnie divorced in Galveston 7 July 1934. The Certificate of Facts that goes along with the divorce decree states that there were no minor children from the marriage. Lonnie died 22 Oct 1968 in Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas.
We were in Milam County last weekend, and I saw lots of Phillips' graves at the Salty Cemetery, but I had no idea that family connected with ours!
