Jane TYACK b. abt. 1814 m. John BAWDEN b. 1804 in Camborne in Sept 1839, as reported by the West Briton newspaper. She is with John in the 1841 census; he is listed as married, but no wife present in 1851, 61, 71; John is widower in 1881. Where was she?
I believe Jane is probably of the family of Jane TYACK listed in the 1841 Camborne census:
Jane Tyack/fem/60/born in CON
Emanuel Tyack/male/20/tailor/CON
William Tyack/male/15/b smith/CON
In the 1856 P.O. Directory of Camborne John Bawden is a tailor on Chapel St, and Manuel TYACK is a tailor on College Row.
The 1861 census of Penryn has:
William D TYACK/Head/marr/38/ Wesleyan Minister/Camborne
Eliza/wife/mar/29/Minister's wife/Truro
Selina Jane Tyack/daur/unm/fem/6/Min Daur/Devon/Devonport
George Smith Tyack/son/unm/3/Minister's son/CON/Penryn
Willm A. B. Tyack/son/1/Min. son/CON/Penryn
From the 1851 census it appears Eliza was daur. of George SMITH, Safety Fuse Mfgr. born Camborne. The mother appears to be Elizabeth BICKFORD m. 1826 Camborne.
Any more information on this TYACK family will be appreciated. And where was Jane Tyack Bawden after 1841?
