Replying to your message, the last Suffolk connection in my Tye line was my Great-Great Grandfather, James Tye, who was born in Walton, Suffolk, in 1802.(His parents were Thomas Tye and Elizabeth Markham)James left Suffok after his marriage to Mary Dunnage and from then on the family lived in the London/Kent area (though some members did, in fact,later emigrate to Canada).Whether James had any brothers who might have been father to your James William I am afraid I don't know, but I will pass your details on to a distant cousin of mine in Australia who has done an enormous amount of research on the Tyes.If there is anything further to tell you I will post another message.
