Hi Marcie,
As promised I did contact my cousin in Australia re your James William Tye.His answer was "I have had a quick look at the 1873online website and checked for Tye births between 1849 and 1851.There were no registrations for a James WILLIAM Tye birth in Suffolk but there were seven entries for James Tye (with no middle name recorded) and one for a James Henry Tye in those three years.Only one James Tye registration was recorded in Suffok - the details are - "James Tye birth 1851, 3rd Quarter, Plomesgate, vol.XII (12) Page 406." "
The Plomesgate district is in the same general area as our Tye interest, but any connection between the families (if indeed there is one) would most likely have been much earlier on - so at present we cannot help you there.
Good luck with your researches.
Marion
