Hi Bill,
I have looked and looked for a clue to your John Henry Tye b. 1813.
One thing I wonder is whether he actually was born in NC. Maybe that is throwing us off.
But if he really was from the NC family of Tyes, then he probably descends from Solomon's or William Tye's lines.
The ones in Oglethorpe that came from Henry's line in Culpeper or Thomas or John's lines seem to have come from one of the other sons of Allen Tye. I'm thinking they well may be from the line of Anderson Tye b. c. 1741 in Va. If there were other brothers of Solomon, William and Anderson we don't know. But I feel strongly that John G. Tye b.c. 1737-1742 may be a son of Allen's and alsoLambeth Tye because he was shown as handling the estate of Allen Tye.
So I wish I could help you as I know how long you have searched, judging by your earlier posts. Maybe something will still turn up.
Lois
