Apparently, Edward Tyng was one of the Proprietors of the Kennebec Purchase. They contain the wills of Edward Tyng and Mrs. Mary Tyng of Boston, Suffolk and Dunstable, Middlesex]

I Edward Tyng Senr. of Boston in New England being by the Gracious alwise disposing Providence of God preserved unto old Age, and accompanied with Many Infirmities attending the Same and feeling Sensible Decays in my Self which bespeak my approaching Dissolution, In obedience to the Will of God and in some degree of Preparation for my Last & Great Change, being through Mercy of a disposing mind & whole understanding Do make and declare this my Last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by Me made or declared in Word or writing, and declaring them to be Void:
First & Chiefly I command my spirit into the arms of the everlasting mercies of the Lord Jesus Christ in Blessed Redeemer who I Trust hath purchased it with his blood, in my Body I Commit to the Earth him to be decently Interred at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named there to Rest untill the Resurrection of the Part: and for that Temporarel Estate which God of his Goodness hath Blessed me withal I do order give & dispose the same in manner & form following: Impis. I will that all these Just Debts which I owe to any Person or Persons whatsoever be well and truly contented & paid in convenient Time after my decease by my Executrix hereafter named: Item: I give & bequeath unto my son Edward Tyng the Sum of One hundred Pounds to be paid out of my Estate having given him a Considerable Estate already. Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Eunice the sum of Five Hundred Pounds to be paid her out of my Estate in good Pay. Item I give & bequeath unto my Son in Law Mr. Joseph Dudley about Twenty Pounds whch he is Indebeted to me by Book.
Item I give & bequeath unto my present Grand Children viz. To Thomas Hannah & Mary Savage, To Thomas Edward Joseph and Paul Dudley To Samuel

Samuel Searle & John Tyng to Each of my said Grand children the sum of the hundred Pounds to be paid unto them out of my Estate at the Decease of my Wife, andmy Will is that in Case of my Said Grand Children should depart this Life before my said Wife, then the Legacy or Legacies hereby given to him her or themso dying shall be at the dispose of my said wife to give as she shall see meet: Item my will is that none of my Estate be Spent or laid out in Farming more than to the Value of Ten Pounds in Building to prevent the loosing or forfeiting of any Lot of Land: and if the Providence of God by Fire or otherwise should Lessen or take away any part of my Estate: then me Will is that my Legatees aforesaid shall make an abatement proportionable to such Loss, out of the Several Legacies hereby bequeathed unto them proportionably. Item all my Just Debts Funeral Expences and the aforementioned Legacies being paid and ordainded to be paid I give & bequeath the whole Remainder of my Estate both Real & Personal unto my wife Mary Tyng to dispose of the Same as she pleaseth; and in case my said Wife shall want for any Comfortable Supply during her widowhood I do hereby License & fully impower her with the consent of the overseers to make Sale of any of my Lands or other Estate for her Supply. Item I Do hereby appoint & constitute my beloved Wife Mary Tyng to be Sole Executrix of this Last Will, and do intreat my Honble. friend John Leverett Esqr. Mr. anthony Stoddard And Captn. Thomas Brattle to be oversears of the Same, requesting that advise & council to my said Executrix in the due performance Thereof. In Testimony whereof I have herunto Set my Hand & Seal this Twenty fifth Day of August in the Year of our Lord God one thousand Six hundred Seventy Seven 1677.

Memorandm the Words/proportionable to such Loss/was interlined by Mr. Tyng's order at which he declared that whereas there is a Legacy of Five hundred pounds given to his Daughter Eunice she being since married to Mr. Samll Willard he hath paid her the said Sum of Five hundred Pounds and so the said Legacy is Void.

I Mary Tyng of the Town of Dunstable in the County of Middlesex within His Majesty: Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England the Relict Widow of Mr. Edward Tyng of Boston of Precious memory Deceased; being through Gods Mercy at this present time of Sound Judgment and perfect memory, yet Apphensive of my approaching dissolution Do make & ordain this my Last Will & Testament.
Imprims: I Commit my Immortal Soul into the hands of Jesus Christ my Dear Redeemer & my Body when forsaken of that Soul, to the Earth by a decent Interment there to Rest like the Glorious day of the Resurrection; And the Temporal Estate which it hath pleased God of his bounty to bestow upon me. Do hereby dispose as hereinafter followeth

Debts are paid all my Estate both Personal & Real to my Grand Children Edward Tyng Jonathan Tyng, Mary Tyng & Elizabeth Tyng the Children of my Son Edward Tyng, Deceased to be Equally divided amongst them & possessed when they shall come to that maturity of years which the civil Law prescribes.
Finally I Constitute & appoint my beloved Son Majr: Jonathan Tyng aforesaid the Sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament & grant him hereby power to Dispose of any of my Estate Real or Personal as there may be opportunity or occasion for the good Education of my Grand Children abovenamed according to his discretions and what may Remain of my Estate after the Youngest Child is arrived to maturity of years My Will is that it Should be Equally Divided amongst them my Grand Children above named And for the Confirmation of this my Last Will & Testament I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this Twelfth Day of December Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred Annoqi: Regni Regis Gulielemi Tertii Duodecimo.

Know Ye that on the Twenty ninth Day of May Anno Domini 1702. Before me at Charlestown the Will of Mrs. Mary Tyng of Dunstable within the said County of Middlesex Widow Deceased to these presents annexed, was proved & allowd who having while She lived & at the time of her Death goods Chattels, Rights & Credits in divers parts of the said County, the administration of all & Singular the Goods, Chattels, Rights and Credits of the said Deceased or her Will in any manner Concerning was Committed unto Major Jonathan Tyng Executor in the same Will named well & Truly to Administer the same; and to make a True & perfect Inventory of all & Singular the Goods, Chattels Rights & Credits of the said Deceased and the same to Exhibit into the Registers Office of the said County according to Law: And to Render a True & plain Account of his said Adminiistration upon Oath: In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & the Seal of the said Office Dated at Charlestown the 29th Day of May Anno Domini 1702.
