Hi Myra:
My ancestor, Simon Uber, brother of Abraham (both of Mercer co. pa) married Magdalena Twiney. Their first child, Maria was born 28 Apr 1788 and married a John McDonald. She died 20 Feb 1849. Simon and Magdelena had 4 more children and Simon died. Magdelena then married his brother Abraham, and they had 8 children. Their first, Hannah, born 27 Mar 1800, married Matthew McDowell.
I am certain of Maria's parentage because I have the old German Bible with the names of all 13 of Magdelena's children! I am descended from Magdelena and Simon's daughter Elizabeth, who married Clement Pearson.
