My ancestor is Mary Elizabeth Uber (1836-1913). She married Nathaniel Carey and they resided in Mercer County, PA. My information indicates she was the daughter of John H. Uber (1803-?) and Elizabeth Rodgers (1805-?). Further John H. Uber is shown as the son of John Uber (b. 1775) and Catherine Harrold. John is shown as the son of the immigrant, Peter Uber who originally settled in Westmoreland County, PA.
In reviewing a Uber family history posted on the Mercer County genweb page, John is listed as the son of Peter. However, there is no mention of John H. being one of John's children. Can anyone confirm who the children of John Uber and Catherine Harrold were?
