My Heinrich Ude Changed his name to Henry and was born in Germany in 1835. Imigrated 1853. First located in Gibson Co. Ind. were he lived for 4 years. Moved to Mt. Vernon, Ind. were he lived for 2 years. Then to Whites Co Ill. in 1861. Enlisted 8/15/1862 Carmi, Ill. Co. F 87th Ill. Discharged 6/16/1865 Springfield, Ill. He married Wilhelmina "Minnie" Schiffer in Dec. 1866 in White Co. Ill. Died 1926 Carmi, White Co., IL.
