From what I understand, Ude is a much more common name in Germany than here in the USA. Friederike Ude's parents were Johann Heinrich Ude, b.Oct. 23, 1791 and d. Nov. 19, 1860 and Johanna Rosine Rottger, b. May 5, 1797 and d. Nov. 29, 1857. This is as far back as we are with our Ude line. It is interesting to me that Friederike had 5 sons, all baptized in the same church in Heckenbeck but a father is never listed for any of the boys. Please let me know if you find anything or have any suggestions that might help out my search! Thanks!
