Hi George: I have been researching the Ude family of White County, Ill, Ind. on back to Germany. My ggrandfather was Heinrich Ude/Uhde who came from the Brunschweig area in Germany and came to America around 1853. DOB 05 Nov 1835. His wife Wilhelmina Schiffer came to America later as a young child and she was from Wurtenburg, Germany.
Heinrich had several children but one son was named George, just like you. Any connection?
