I have a Joseph Udell married a Nancy Tupper. He would have been born around 1834 give or take a few years. He would have had another wife also. Know very little about this man or wife Nancy. Supposedly, they had my ggrandmother Oleava Flo Udell together although there is some question about that. She was born December 11, 1863. There was another child known as a sister, Clora Florence Udell.
Nancy was from Canada and so supposedly was Joseph Udell. Oleava was born in Fenton, Michigan. I think that Nancy may have taken the name Udell for both these children even though it seems to be family belief they were not Joseph's. Nancy had another name Sutton at one time also. Hopefully, some of this may tie into your research. Maybe we can both gain some insight.
