My dad was a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was stationed in the Berkshire area. He was in England from 1942 - 1945. I have his regiment number as well as some of his personal diaries and I will read through them. I am trying to find out exactly where he was stationed. The name Udy is not very common in Canada or the USA, although it is common in Cornwall. Apparently all the Udy's in North America have common ancestors who emigrated in the late 1800's. So it may be possible that he is the Don Udy you are looking for?? There may be another Don Udy from the USA. I have been doing some geneology myself and I will take a look and do a little more research.
