This is most definatly my John Uebel. He was a guilder and lived in Rochester. He was born June 06, 1869. Per the 1880 census he was living on Miller St. in Rochester. I have him as living at 169 Front St. in Rochester as of 1888. Sometime between May of 1899 and March of 1909 he moved to Erie, Pa. This is per his childrens birth dates and locations. So I'm not sure if that helped at all, but assuming that he was at least 18 before having the store, that would narrow you down to a range of about 1887 to 1899.

If you wouldn't mind, I'd be very interested in a picture of the framed work. I've personaly never seen any of his work. If you are willing to e-mail it to me i'd greatly appretiate it. Happy hunting and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
