Dear Mr. Evler, I was very surprised and happy to hear from you. I assume you may descend from John A. Evler, son of John G. and Magdalena? Some of his descendants spell the name as you do. I have a good bit of information regarding the descendants of John George Eveler. I work in the same building with some of his descendants. I am an attorney here in York, PA, and I rent my office from Eveler & Eveler law offices. Attorneys George L. Eveler III and his sister Andrea Eveler Stanley are children of George L. Eveler, Jr., Esquire, granchildren of George L. Eveler, great grandchildren of George William Eveler, son of John George Eveler and Eva Magdalena Schumm. My mother was born an Eveler, daughter of Clark Emanuel Eveler b. 1921, granddaughter of Emanuel Eveler 1882-1974, great granddaughter of George Eveler 1819-1908. I have some of the ancestry of the Schumm family back to the 1600s in Bavaria. The Eveler line has thus far proven difficult. I know they are also from the same general area as the Schumm family, I have just not been able to locate the exact town. What do you know about the family? I have a little booklet done about 12 years ago by my grandmother and myself on the John G. Eveler family. As I mentioned, there were 4 children: Elizabeth m. Ganseman, John A., George William, Annie md. David Schnell. I think Harry was John A.'s son. John A. was married twice, first to a Mary Wise, and then to Rose Frantz Strassbaugh. If I have any errors, you must forgive me, as I am doing this from memory. I hope to hear from you. Richard Konkel York, Pennsylvania
