Sorry for the delay in returning your message. The spelling found related to our family is Uehlin. I have found several simular spellings but so far our family name has not changed at least to the 1700's.

You might try a German Genealogist that found our family, Uwe Porten Email: uporten@t-online.de He charges a fee, but sends you printed material if it is available. I am pleased with his research.
