A biography/family history of Rasmus R. Ueland is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, page 805. Rasmus R. Ueland was born, 3 Sep 1875, to Rasmus and Mollie Ueland, both being from the gaard of Ueland. Their children: Ingar (Mrs. August Schroeder, Marshall, MN); Mary (Mrs. August Johnson, Marshall, MN); Lars, who died at Antelope, MT; and Rasmus R.
Rasmus Ueland, Sr., brought his family to the US in the spring of 1882 and settled in Yellow Medicine County, MN, eventually moving to Cottonwood, MN. Mollie died in 1909.
In 1907 Rasmus Ueland, Jr., came to Montana and homesteaded near Antelope, MT.
On 22 Dec 1898, Lyon County, MN, Rasmus married Miss Mollie Thone, b. 1874, WI, daughter of Svend and Toron Thone, both born in Norway. Some years after immigrating to Wisconsin, the family moved on to Lyon County, Minnesota.
Ueland children: Richard Sylvester, Theodore Kermit, Rudolph, Mabel.
