The family emigrated from the village of Twiehausen, in northern Westphalia, in 1882. They had four daughters, three of whom had Charlotte among their given names (born 1865, 1870, and 1873); I imagine that one of these was your grandmother.
I have the ancestry of this family back to the late 1600s, if you're interested.
