this is a hello from Germany.

Any idea where your ancestors came from in Germany?

I found the following baptism in the Evangelical-Lutheran church in Weißenhöhe (Weisssenhoehe), Kreis (county) Wirsitz, Posen, formerly Germany, now Poland:
Carl Julius Ufer
birth: 23 Nov 1874 in Weißenhöhe (before called Bialosliwe)
Baptism: 24 Dec 1874
Father: Julius Ufer, "Züchnermeister" by trade
Mother: Florentine née Giese

Please let me know if your ancestors were from the Posen (Poznan) area.
