Dear Mr Uffelman,
I found an old posting on GenForum from you in reply to a post from Lynn Goutouski re: Reinhart Uffelmann.
My great grandfather was Rheinhart (or Rheinhard) Uffelmann (we since dropped the second ‘n’ as well). He was born January 18, 1853 in Hohenzell. I believe he emigrated in 1882 but I don’t know any further details. He is listed in the 1910 census as living in Allegheny County, PA and in the 1920 census in Fayette Township, Allegheny County, PA. He married Helen Schafer (Schaefer) who was born May 26, 1858 in Hutten. They had 7 children John Henry, Nicholas Rheinhart (my grandfather), Elizabeth, Henry M, Charles William, Anna Katherine, and Margaret H.
I wonder if any of the Uffelmann’s you list are my relatives? Any additional information you may have would be greatly appreciated. Likewise, I will be willing to share what I find.
