We recently purchased a new computer (Dell XPS) with Windows XP. I am unable to get my cd to boot. No message even comes up. It just won't open. I realize that this cd is from 1998 but I have years of files from our old computer which I'd love to eventually put on this new computer. Is this possible? I am not happy with other genealogy programs currently on the market. Our old computer had the patch added when we upgraded to XP. That computer had service package 2. I don't know what package is on the Dell. Any advice will be pursued.
