Alan, I've posted a letter to John Grandy but I am not sure how the system works yet, so I'll write one to you as well. I'd like to know at what time do you believe Chitson name appeared in London? I am interested because Chitson crosses over with Chidson branch which I research (and am a descendant of). Diff. archives in England point out to East Yorkshire and a bit of Lincolnshire for both "d" spelled and "T" spelled ones, in 1350-1800. However Chitson family members who I met so far alive all consider London is the origin place. Do you have any early times' (1600-1700) records from London (and Kent) areas ?
Sincerely, Alexandra (St. Petersburg, Russia)
