I received the followin info from a very kind Sheffield Library researcher: I would greatly appreciate any information that you might on Samuel and family. I found a Samuel Pease in the 1870 NYC census. age 45, (b. c1825 same as the Samuel in Sheffield during 1851 census) Living in Ward 15 in Brooklyn.
Thank you in advance,

"I did find a Peace Brothers, steel, file, saw manufacturerers and merchants of 55 Garden Street, Sheffield. The brothers were Edwin and Samuel, and first appear as Peace Brothers in the trade directories of the
1850s, although they seem to be related to an earlier firm called Peace, Kirby and Co. of the same address.

I checked our name indexes to the census records again for 1841-1861 but the
only association which seemed at all relevant was the following:-

1851 - Stanley Street - Samuel Peace, aged 26, born Worksop, Nottinghamshire Mary, wife, aged 25, born Masborough, Yorkshire Joseph, aged 3, born Sheffield Emily, aged 1, born Sheffield"
