Need Help Warwickshire History and Cemetery Lookup

Why would a Southern (American) gentleman be in Warwickshire England during the American Civil war in 1863. The South and england weren't exactly on good terms with each other. And why would he die there? Was he a spy? Was he working for the Union Government? His family were known Union sympathizers. Where is he buried? Can you help me answer any of these questions? What is known is that his family was notified of his death in Warwickshire England on the 24th day of February, 1863.
