Your note first caught my eye because the surname "Knowles" appears twice in my family tree, and because another of my ancestors (Simon Crosby) also came over in the Susan & Ellen in 1635. So I did some digging and found: Henry Knowles, b. 1609 in Hull, Yorkshire, came over on the Susan & Ellen in 1635, died in either Kingston or Warwick, Rhode Island, in Jan, 1670. He married in 1640, Martha Potter, daughter of Robert, of Warwick, RI. There were at least 5 children: William, b. 1645, d. 1727; John b. about 1647, d. 16 Sept, 1716; Mary b. about 1649, d. 28 December, 1719; Martha b. about 1651, d. 1728, and Henry, b. about 1654. Should you want further information, I have partial lines of descent for William and Mary. This is compiled from several second and third-hand sources, and I have not personally verified any of it. It appears that both my Knowles lines descend from Richard Knowles, who arrived on the Mayflower. Do you have anything further on his ancestors? Hope this helps.
