I can't believe I found the surname ULAND on a genealogy site! I'm researching the following: Julius Christian ULAND married Henrietta Elizabeth Fransisco Cayle, possibly in Belgium.
They had two children: William Peter, born Antwerp, Belgium @1887, and his sister Frances, of which I have no birth details.
William Peter ULAND sailed to New Zealand and then onto Australia. In New Zealand he met the DONOVAN family. Eventually Eileen DONOVAN sailed to NSW, Australia and William ULAND & Eileen DONOVAN married in Sydney 1916.
I cannot find the ULAND family in Belgium or anywhere else for that matter. Family folklore has it that they owned a shipping company. France ULAND was a nurse and was last reported living in Hamburg, Germany.
