Mr. Ortega,
I have been researching the Ulibarri Family since 1980. I found that our line comes from Capt. Juan de Ulibarri of an Adopted son he named Juan de Ulibarri an Apache who with his Wife of that time Juana Hurtado raised him. He was born
around 1690. He married Rosalia Armijo July 7, 1732 and died April 4, 1756 in Albuquerque. One of his son's Juachin
Santa Ana Ulibarri born 1742 Alb. Married Jan 8, 1763 to Juana Maria Duran. I wonder if the name he gave his son has anything with where Juan could of come from (Santa Ana)
I need to do more research on when Juan was adopted and where Capt. Juan de Ulibarri found him. The Ullibarri Family always said there were two brothers that came from Spain, that's where the Ulibarri's were from. I found a Town named Ulibarri in the Providence of Navarro in Spain.
But now that I have Juan de Ulibarri as an Apache our line ends there. Wish I could find more. Maybe one day someone
might help me on this research. I will be looking forward to my Journal of April. Thanks for your reply. Always a pleasure to hear from you. Anna
