Indeed I know that family as it also is my own (and my mother's). Let me give you a run down. Franz Ulm was from the County Palatine of the Rhine (German Empire) and was born in abt 1755. He arrived in Charleston SC 1764 and settled in the German settlement of Londonborough under the patronage of King George III. He had 10 children by an unknown spouse. Of these there was Henry Ulm, born in 1793 and died in 1876. He married Elender ??? in Edgefield County SC. Evidently he moved to Lincoln Co Ga where his wife was from. They had eight children, of whom I note Alfred Emanuel Ulm born 1815 in Columbia Co Ga. He married Elizabeth Ammons of Lincoln Co. They had ten children, of whom Charles Hamilton Ulm was born 5 Sept 1859 and died 18 April 1935. He was my great-grandfather. Need more info ?? Write me at JOHN
