RIVERTON - Lloyd Denton "Dean" Ulm, 70, of Riverton died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at his home.

He was born Nov. 22, 1935, in Springfield, the son of Chris and Helen Brickey Ulm. He married Jackie Gibbs in 1957; they later divorced. He married Mary Jo Eggleston Reed in 1980.

Mr. Ulm graduated from Feitshans High School. He worked for Dolly Madison Cake Co. for 27 years, retired from the Illinois Department of Aging and was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder, clerk of session, church schoolteacher and a member of the choir.

Survivors: wife, Mary Jo; daughter, Lori (husband, Bill) Copp of Parker, Colo.; two sons, Mike (wife, Polly) Ulm of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Eric (wife, Becky) Ulm of Glenarm; stepson, Ken Reed Jr. of Springfield; stepdaughter, Dee (husband, Brian) Foreman of Riverton; four grandchildren; mother, Helen of Chatham; sister, Pat (husband, George) Von de Bur of Chatham; brother, Chris (wife, Roxy) Ulm of Chatham; three nieces; a nephew; several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and two uncles.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Knox Presbyterian Church, Kathy Swaar officiating. Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park.

Wilson-Park Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
