I am looking for my ggggrandfather, Fritz Ulrich from Barden, Germany. Could also be Baden, Germany. His wife is Annie Ulrich. He was a brewer and they had a 3 sons, Frederick Carl (my gggrandfather), Charlie and Daniel Ulrich. I am looking for any information on the Ulrich family in Germany.

This other information comes from my great aunt Cecil E. Ulrich Alger:

The Ulrich family history goes back to my grandfather's time. His name was Frederick Carl Ulrich, born in Baden, Germany, in 1843. He came to the United States in 1862 at the age of nineteen years and stopped in Cleveland,Ohio, where he worked in a brewery. In his early youth he was apprenticed to the copper and brewery' trade. Remaining a short time in Ohio, then going to St. Louis and Leavenworth, he heard of gold and drifted to Denver, where he prospected for a while. He went to Central City for a while, but decided to leave and go to Idaho (Idaho Springs, CO), which it was called at that time. He then built a brewery and boarding house called the German House, which stood on the property where the new city hall in Idaho Springs now stands on Miner Street.

He married my grandmother, Anna Nebes, in 1877. She
was born in Cologne,Germany, in 1841. She came to the United States in 1871 and married my grandfather in 1877 in Denver. Two sons were born: Daniel William Ulrich, my
father, and Karl Fredrick Ulrich, my uncle. Both sons went to the old school and graduated. My uncle sons went to the old school > and graduated. My uncle went to Purdue University and became a railroad conductor for the C & S,
advancing to the Union Pacific Railroad. My father remained in Idaho Springs and married my mother, Susie J. Roberts of Fort Scott, Kansas, in 1904. Five children were born to them: Alice Theresa (my grandmother), Frederick William, Herman, Daniel William Jr., and Cecile Elizabeth.
