Many thanks for the Uncles info.

I found an interesting clue: I discovered I have a letter from my grandmother that refers to her mother, Mary Elizabeth Coleman, as having gone to stay with cousins after the early death of her mother, Sarah Uncles Coleman. Those cousins are noted as Samuel and Martha DeCou of Moorestown, NJ. There's also a note that my uncle spent a summer with the Howard DeCou family. This leads me to suspect that Sarah Uncle's mother was a DeCou. I know the DeCou's were early settlers in Burlington and there is a DeCou family genealogy. Next I have to locate it! There's also a book on Moorestown written by a George DeCou. I don't suppose you have access to either, do you? I'm a long way from Burlington.
