Christine Unruh's sister "Minnie" is Wilhelmina Unruh, and was married to Peter Hartvig Jansen, their farm was near Elwood, Iowa. [Jansen Family History, 1969, copies of pages from Kathryn Compton, August, 2003]. Peter Jansen died in 1928, and Wilhelmina in 1929. They are buried in Lost Nation, Iowa. Josephine Unruh was married to Thomas Peter Philipsen. After he managed the Farmer's Co-op Creamery in Maquoketa, Iowa, they moved to Snohomish County, Washington, where he managed a creamery in Monroe, and then a creamery in Snohomish. Later they went to Idaho where he took up a desert claim. Josephine died in 1916 and is buried in St. Anthony, Idaho, where he was managing the St. Anthony Creamery. He shows up in the 1920 US Census in Oakville, Washington. Carl Unruh was August Carl Unruh and when he left Washington he shows up in Iowa in the 1910 Census, and in Minnesota in the 1930 Census. Christine Unruh was married to Jens Carl Nissen and they are my Nissen Grandparents. She died in 1925, he in 1930, and are buried in the Machias Cemetery in Snohomish County, Washington. I am interested in what became of their descendants, and who their parents were.
