Thomas Peter Philipson wrote a note on the family history saying that his wife Josephine Unruh's father was Philip Ernest Unruh (from Kassel) and her mother was Luise W. A. Schluter (this spelling from Kathi Hayden; Genforum; Immigrants; 7263). Question: Can you trace Philip Ernest Unruh to Kassel? The children migrated to the U.S. from Hamburg. They came from Broager and Flensburg. One son: August Carl Unruh; eight daughters: know four: Wilhelmina Jansen, Henriette Sophia Luise Matthieson, Josephine Philipson, and Christine Nissen. Who were the other four sisters; did they remain in Germany (Denmark); where ? Was Philip Ernest Unruh from Kassel? If you can provide leads, please help. Thank you.
