Hello Dennis,

I'm just starting to do some research on an Upp family line. Is there any chance that you are familiar with a John Winters Upp? John Winters Upp, Sr. was born in Ohio in 1868. His father was Henry B. Upp, also born in Ohio, exact location unknown at this time. At some point, the family moved to Schenectady, NY. They also lived in Gloucester, MA. John served in the 7th Independent Battery of Mass. Light Artillery during the Civil War. At some point, John left Schenectady and moved to Philly, worked as an electrical engineer for General Electric. I'm sure none of this rings a bell, but I thought I'd post it anyway. Thanks. Best of luck.
