I'll bet there is a connection. The Abraham who moved up was my ggg grandfather - Isaac>ABRAHAM>William>William>Harry>Paul>Nancy.
My grandfather was adamant that Abraham was married to Sarah Fields, although the 1850 or 1860 census shows a Catherine and the only death certificate of one of her children, done by their daughter-in-law, showed mother's maiden name "Gardner," "father - unknown" I believe. From other sources and family records we know Abraham is ours but couldn't figure out the Sarah Fields connection.Wonder if he had a next generation mixed in somehow.I know Sarah Rebecca was not Abraham's sibling because of his parents intestate papers and Isaac's Rev. War pension papers, listing even a child that died in infancy.
There was a Fields living near the Mt Union Church of God, charter member, late 1800s or early 1900s, and granddad had claimed that Sarah Fields came from Lawrence Co., that Sarah and Abraham lived in Law. Co., but I had only found Fayette Co.>Washington Co.>Butler Co. for Abe.
Yes, I would very much like to share info with you.I haven't been doing much genealogy lately and have become addlepated, but I think one of Abe's girls was Sarah born 1798-ish but married to a Mitchell (documented) and William had a daughter Sarah Rebecca who married a Baker (well documented).But.... there is potential here.
I'll print out your message and think about it an compare and "talk" to you about it.
Thanks for replying!!
