Hello!

My name is THOMAS EUGENE URICH, and I have been researching our branch of the family name in Germany for two years, now.

My Great-Great-Great Frandfather was Joseph Urich of Bad Koenig, Germany (then called the Nassau Region of Frankenland). His son was named Daniel, who married and moved to the USA in 1846. The original house stills stands on the city square in Bad Koenig, and is still owned by the family. The current owner, Karl Heinz Urich operates a butcher shop built adjacent to the three story house.

The original family name was also from the Hugenot in Schweiz (Switzerland), but the name was spelled Uhrig.

Good Luck in finding your roots!

Tom Urich
