Re: Pronunciation

The German-speaking countries where the name "Urich" originated before spreading to Czechoslovakia, Rumania and others nations, pronounced the name "Ur-ick." The English-speaking people sometimes changed it to "Ur-itch" as in "sandwich," although many, including my maternal grandmother (maiden name Harriet Urich), kept the original pronunciation.
