Thank you for your quick response.
Do you have more information about Susannah's father - George McCONNELL?
You are correct that I was thinking of Nancy (URIE) BOYD's newphew, Thomas URIE.
According to other URIE researchers -Thomas URIE's brother Solomon URIE married Elizabeth McCONNELL, daughter of Arthur McCONNELL. Arthur McCONNELL's 300 acres adjoined the farm of Thomas URIE Sr. of 320 acres in Independence Twp., Washington County, PA
Perhaps the source of the confusion is that there was another McCONNELL family nearby? A George McCONNELL with a daughter Susannah?
I have a early map Independence Twp. showing ownership and acreage, for original settlers. I have a 1879 map for Hopewell Twp. It shows land owned by "Sarah McCONNELL" east of West Middletown, Washington County, PA. I don't see other McCONNELLs listed on the two maps.
Could you let me know your source of "George McCONNELL" as the father of Susannah? Also, that you aren't using his name interchangeably with "Arthur McCONNELL." Many of the URIE researchers I've come across say that Susannah was the sister of Elizabeth (McCONNELL) URIE (Mrs. Solomon). But no one has proof. So your information that they have different fathers would make a lot of sense on why Susannah wasn't listed in Arthur McCONNELL's will
Hope to hear from you again. Susannah is one of my ancestors, and we've been trying to sort this out for a while.
