Oh my goodness, this is so exciting. I just came on to check my email and this was waiting for me. I knw=ew that my Dad had brother's and sisters, but he was not good at giving information about them. I would love to get to know all of you. J have a brother living in Australia at the moment, but as he has just shifted I don't know his address.Dad jumped ship in NZ as (he said) he had a fight with his Captain and just took off. He lived in NZ for about 2 years before mum threatened to divorce him, when he sent for us. We got here around May 1953 and have lived here since, Dad got to go to jail for 3months sometime after we arrived, I was only 6 so cannot remember quite when it was. That was of course because he had jumped ship.
I really don't have very many memories of my father before we came to NZ, because I guess he was away soo often. He was alovely man and my Mum was great too. Are we allowed to exchange email addresses on this site? I will put mine in and if they dont allow it I guess they will black it out,. anne.woolley@xtra.co.nz /so much looking forward to hearing from you again.
