DEE!!! What do you mean, NOT MUCH HELP!!! This is a BIG, BIG, BIG HELP!! I knew they lived in Curry Co, NM, but could not find them because I was searching Grady, Curry Co, NM (to where I think they finally moved). Of course Grady and Boney (We always called it "Boney Cap") are not far apart, but back then I guess it was a pretty far distance. This tells me that he and Emma were married and not brother and sister. Now if I can just find out Emma's maiden name (Stanfield or Hutchins, hopefully), I can finally prove their relationship to my Stanfield family. I take it that "Mother" would refer to Jordan's mother. I'll have to see whether my mother remembers her. (My mother was born in Grady, Curry, NM in 1915--so it all depends on whether my mother was old enough to remember "MOTHER"---depends on when "MOTHER" died. If both of Emma's parents were born in GA, she is most likely a Stanfield as my g-grandfather, William F Stanfield, was born in GA, as was both of his parents. If Jordan's father was born in TX, my mother may have been thinking about his service instead of Jordan's. But I'll keep checking more, also, now that I have this IMPORTANT INFO you have given me. Thank goodness for Genforum and for me finally finding the military forum on it. I had posted on Genforum several times for Pearce/Stanfield connections, but had never discovered the military forum until last night. AND A BIG THANKS TO YOU. If you can locate the NM Regiment, that would be great. I think I found one at one time, but couldn't find anything there--I guess because I didn't know what war/service to look for. GOD BLESS YOU, AMERICA, INTERNET, AND GENFORUM!!! Sue
