My greatgreat grandfather Matthew Quinlan or could be spelled Quinley was said to have fought in the US-Mexican War. I don't know much about him except that he was Irish and was born in 1809. He came to Nova Scotia after the conclusion of the war and settled in Pubnico NS and later moved to Shelburne Co. Nova Scotia Canada. What I need is anyone having access to records, if someone would do a lookup for me and see if his name is on records. For this I am deeply grateful. Thanks. Please email me directly if possible at
ehmacisaac@eastlink.ca
