I wonder if anyone could steer me a source of the enlistees from Alabama during the 1846-48 time period. I have reason to believe my great grand father Wiley Howell Cobb and possibly his brother Stephen were living in Alabama at the time and being in their mid 20's, were of the right ages. They were probably living in the area of todays Birmingham as a lot of folks from Pitt County, North Carolina migrated there in the early 1800's.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
