Was Thomas Bridges born in Georgia? Have you tried to find him in the 1850 census or others? If he ran away, it's possible that he did join up with the Mexican War; however, without any proof, it's hard to tell. Perhaps he just ran away and lived elsewhere. I can do some census research, etc. to see if I can find anything else for you, if you want me to. Did his parents settle in Arkansas? Was he from Tennessee, or from Georgia? I'll help if I can.
