Henry Crumbaugh on Gen. Scott's staff?

Henry Crumbaugh was born 31 August 1818 in Kentucky and died 29 May 1900 in Illinois and is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Empire Township, McLean County. Information I have indicates he was on Gen. Scott's staff during the Mexican War. I don't have any further information. Could anyone verify whether he did in fact serve on Scott's staff? Any information on him would be welcome. Thanks
