Greenlee in Mexican War

I seek info on Francis Marion Greenlee, who died in Mexico on 30 April 1847. A family Bible says he died in Mexican War. Anything on this person would be greatly appreciated. Francis was the son of Elijah an Eliza Snell Greenlee of Lowndes Co., MS.
