I am looking for information about John Henry Meade born 1837 in Philadelphia and whose parents were born in Ireland.
He probably joined the Civil war maybe from Ohio. He then may have joined the Mexican and Indian wars because there is a John Meade at Ft. Custer MT in 1880. He died in the Philippines in a car accident in 1910 leaving a 9 year old daughter. He was a single man 63 year old man in 1900 and stationed at Capiz Panay. He was not the only old man in that unit. One was 80 years old and they were both privates.
I wonder if your meade ancestor was this man.
