Have document entitled, "Description and Historical Register of Enlisted Soldiers of the Army" has a big 122 on page so assume pg #, 9th soldier down is ELIJAH HANON enlisted July 8, 1847 at St Louis by a Captain Haile.unfortunatly no other info for him
Does anyone have info on where this Register was kept, others listed are #1686 John Heddings age 21 enlisted June 8 1847 at Columbia by St Falenstock, # 1687 Henry Harris 42 eyes grey hair dark complexion fair 5'6"Sept 6, 1847 Hannburgh (not clear) 1686 George Harvey or Hanvey 22, enlisted Abbville, total of 13 men listed. . this Elijah Hanon could be my GGrandfather who appeared in Oregon 1851 but was not listed on Wagon Trains. Anyone know this Captain Haile, could it be Captain Hale? Any info appreciated ..Marge Anderson
