Try http://www.archive.org search using "texts" and spell out state names as TN was not used before 1960's and old books may have used Tenn.
There are lots of books on "Mexican War" but this one names casualties. While I can search within the book for Tennessee, it does not find the names of men on the pages of lists. So it looks like one needs to read the book.

"Messages of the President of the United States : with the correspondence, therewith communicated, between the Secretary of War and other officers of the government, on the subject of the Mexican War"
